Level Up is unlike any other English tuition tool. The very core of this game is based on a revolutionary new system that has been tried and tested daily in thousands of face-to-face lessons in Japan. This system is 100% proven to work when used regularly.

Many other apps/systems focus on repetition learning of vocabulary, or “speed learning” of set phrases. Level Up only uses a few, carefully selected, high usage words throughout the entire game and focuses on what all other apps ignore; the very core of English and the grammar you will directly need to hold a conversation. Why learn a set phrase which you will forget within minutes when you can learn how phrases are created and be able to make your own?

Level Up will take you through the 4 main action tenses in English:

1. Simple present tense (habitual actions)
2. Present continuous (now)
3. Future
4. Past

At first, you will input your answers using an easily understandable keyboard of words (no spelling) and will only be able to move on to the next tense, once you’ve proven you understand the previous tense.

Each game is 3 minutes long and provides the user with 4 image cards at the top which form an English sentence. Your task is to translate as many sets as possible into English sentences within the 3 minutes. Get enough points and Level Up to the next tense!

Once you have completed the four main tenses and know them inside and out, the game then asks you to keep reviewing the tenses but this time, using speech recognition to input your answers. You will have the grammar needed to answer, that part will be easy, but at this point you will need to actually SPEAK your answers to progress.
